Our newest Associate has already worked closely with our team for many years, so we already know it’s a great fit.

When the opportunity arose for Jeanette Tejeda de Gomez to formally join G.S. Proctor & Associates, it was too good for either side to pass up.

An experienced communications and policy professional, Jeanette most served for more than eight years as the Senior Public Relations Specialist with AAA Mid-Atlantic in the Washington, D.C., metro area and Maryland. During that time, she advocated for the safety and mobility of members and travelers of all modes through public relations and legislative efforts.

“I worked closely with G.S. Proctor & Associates on AAA’s legislative efforts in the region,” she said. “I was impressed with how the company assists clients in achieving their goals. I am proud to join a company with such a solid background of success and integrity.”

Throughout her career, Jeanette has placed sound and solid research at the center of everything she does. At G.S. Proctor & Associates, her role will focus on creating scalable, research-based stakeholder engagement strategies at the local, state and federal levels. She will engage legislators, policymakers, stakeholders and impacted communities.

“I will also engage with our lobbyists and clients to provide an analysis of strategic communication tactics and share my expertise, as necessary, to hone messaging that supports our clients’ interests and keeps stakeholders informed and engaged,” she said. “As we develop campaigns on various issues, I will provide the research and analytical background necessary for G.S. Proctor & Associates to evaluate all possible risks and rewards in pursuing a particular strategy.”

Jeanette was born in San Antonio, Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and Spanish from Texas State University and a Master of Arts in International Relations from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. She has also completed coursework toward a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Arizona and is a Fulbright-Hays Scholar.

Prior to relocating to the East Coast, she served as the Director of Communications and a Policy Advisor for the Arizona Senate Democratic Caucus. She has over 12 years of experience with government and public relations in Washington, D.C., Arizona and Texas.

Jeanette takes great pride in serving as the Vice-President of the Washington, D.C. Alumni Chapter of St. Mary’s University, an organization that helps area alumni and interns create a sense of community despite being so far from home. She is also an avid student of dance who enjoys performing at community events and an amateur genealogist who seeks to preserve and unearth the stories of generations past. Jeanette has an extremely supportive husband and they are parents to an inquisitive and kind 15-year-old son.
